Who We Are

Englewood Christian Church believes and follows the same mission Jesus gave His followers: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." Englewood Christian Church exists to build a unified family of Christ followers, transformed by His grace, reaching out to our world with love.

What we Believe

Bible

The Bible is God’s Word, written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is fully inspired by God, inerrant, perfect, life giving, and life changing. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. The Bible is Absolute Truth, the final authority for faith and life.

God

God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. Everything has been created by Him and for Him. He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God is the only sovereign, wise, and good Creator of all things, who reigns as King over all creation for His own glory according to Romans 11:33-36.

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Jesus was born of a virgin, conceived of the Holy Spirit. He offered Himself for the sins of all men by dying on the cross. He was buried and in three days, He arose from the dead with power over sin and death. After His literal and physical resurrection, the Lord Jesus Christ ascended into Heaven.

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every believer from the moment of salvation. The Christian is to seek to live under His control daily.

Man

Man is created in the image of God. Since Adam disobeyed God, all men are guilty of sin, unable to come to God on their own, and have a nature of disobedience towards God, which is called “sin.” Those who have placed their trust in Christ are forgiven and adopted as children of God, and they will spend eternity with Him.

Salvation

God offers us His gift of Salvation by grace, by which we receive through faith in Jesus. He makes us new, calls us to leave sin behind, and invites us to join His work in the world according to Ephesians 2:8-10.
